주께서 칭찬하시는 자
고린도후서 10:18: 옳다 인정함을 받는 자는 자기를 칭찬하는 자가 아니요 오직 주께서 칭찬하시는 자니라
For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
모든 것이 헛되도다
전도서 1:1: 다윗의 아들 예루살렘 왕 전도자의 말씀이라
The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.
전도서 1:2: 전도자가 이르되 헛되고 헛되며 헛되고 헛되니 모든 것이 헛되도다
"Vanity of vanities," says the Preacher; "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity."
전도서 1:3: 해 아래에서 수고하는 모든 수고가 사람에게 무엇이 유익한가
What profit has a man from all his labor In which he toils under the sun?
성령의 나타나심과 능력
고린도전서 2:4: 내 말과 내 전도함이 설득력 있는 지혜의 말로 하지 아니하고 다만 성령의 나타나심과 능력으로 하여
And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
열매를 위하여
에베소서 5:7-14
7 그러므로 그들과 함께 하는 자가 되지 말라
Therefore do not be partners with them.
8 너희가 전에는 어둠이더니 이제는 주 안에서 빛이라 빛의 자녀들처럼 행하라
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light
9 빛의 열매는 모든 착함과 의로움과 진실함에 있느니라
(for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth)
10 주를 기쁘시게 할 것이 무엇인가 시험하여 보라
and find out what pleases the Lord.
11 너희는 열매 없는 어둠의 일에 참여하지 말고 도리어 책망하라
Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
12 그들이 은밀히 행하는 것들은 말하기도 부끄러운 것들이라
For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
13 그러나 책망을 받는 모든 것은 빛으로 말미암아 드러나나니 드러나는 것마다 빛이니라
But everything exposed by the light becomes visible,
14 그러므로 이르시기를 잠자는 자여 깨어서 죽은 자들 가운데서 일어나라 그리스도께서 너에게 비추이시리라 하셨느니라
for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."
여호와께서 명령한 대로
신명기 5:16: 너는 네 하나님 여호와께서 명령한 대로 네 부모를 공경하라 그리하면 네 하나님 여호와가 네게 준 땅에서 네 생명이 길고 복을 누리리라
Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
그와 그 집이 다 세례를 받고
사도행전 16:11: 우리가 드로아에서 배로 떠나 사모드라게로 직행하여 이튿날 네압볼리로 가고
Therefore, sailing from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and the next day came to Neapolis,
사도행전 16:12: 거기서 빌립보에 이르니 이는 마게도냐 지방의 첫 성이요 또 로마의 식민지라 이 성에서 수일을 유하다가
and from there to Philippi, which is the foremost city of that part of Macedonia, a colony. And we were staying in that city for some days.
사도행전 16:13: 안식일에 우리가 기도할 곳이 있을까 하여 문 밖 강가에 나가 거기 앉아서 모인 여자들에게 말하는데
And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made; and we sat down and spoke to the women who met there.
사도행전 16:14: 두아디라 시에 있는 자색 옷감 장사로서 하나님을 섬기는 루디아라 하는 한 여자가 말을 듣고 있을 때 주께서 그 마음을 열어 바울의 말을 따르게 하신지라
Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul.
사도행전 16:15: 그와 그 집이 다 세례를 받고 우리에게 청하여 이르되 만일 나를 주 믿는 자로 알거든 내 집에 들어와 유하라 하고 강권하여 머물게 하니라
And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay." So she persuaded us.
유전이 아닌 유업으로의 신앙전수
잠언 22:6: 마땅히 행할 길을 아이에게 가르치라 그리하면 늙어도 그것을 떠나지 아니하리라
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
다 선지자가 되게 하시기를
민수기 11:29: 모세가 그에게 이르되 네가 나를 두고 시기하느냐 여호와께서 그의 영을 그의 모든 백성에게 주사 다 선지자가 되게 하시기를 원하노라
Then Moses said to him, "Are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the Lord's people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!"
그대를 위해 우신다
요한복음 11:33-44
33 예수께서 그가 우는 것과 또 함께 온 유대인들이 우는 것을 보시고 심령에 비통히 여기시고 불쌍히 여기사
34 이르시되 그를 어디 두었느냐 이르되 주여 와서 보옵소서 하니
35 예수께서 눈물을 흘리시더라
36 이에 유대인들이 말하되 보라 그를 얼마나 사랑하셨는가 하며
37 그 중 어떤 이는 말하되 맹인의 눈을 뜨게 한 이 사람이 그 사람은 죽지 않게 할 수 없었더냐 하더라
38 이에 예수께서 다시 속으로 비통히 여기시며 무덤에 가시니 무덤이 굴이라 돌로 막았거늘
39 예수께서 이르시되 돌을 옮겨 놓으라 하시니 그 죽은 자의 누이 마르다가 이르되 주여 죽은 지가 나흘이 되었으매 벌써 냄새가 나나이다
40 예수께서 이르시되 내 말이 네가 믿으면 하나님의 영광을 보리라 하지 아니하였느냐 하시니
41 돌을 옮겨 놓으니 예수께서 눈을 들어 우러러 보시고 이르시되 아버지여 내 말을 들으신 것을 감사하나이다
42 항상 내 말을 들으시는 줄을 내가 알았나이다 그러나 이 말씀 하옵는 것은 둘러선 무리를 위함이니 곧 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것을 그들로 믿게 하려 함이니이다
43 이 말씀을 하시고 큰 소리로 나사로야 나오라 부르시니
44 죽은 자가 수족을 베로 동인 채로 나오는데 그 얼굴은 수건에 싸였더라 예수께서 이르시되 풀어 놓아 다니게 하라 하시니라
John 11:33-44
33 When Jesus saw her weeping and saw the other people wailing with her, a deep anger welled up within him, and he was deeply troubled. / Or he was angry in his spirit
34 "Where have you put him?" he asked them. They told him, "Lord, come and see."
35 Then Jesus wept.
36 The people who were standing nearby said, "See how much he loved him!"
37 But some said, "This man healed a blind man. Couldn't he have kept Lazarus from dying?"
38 Jesus was still angry as he arrived at the tomb, a cave with a stone rolled across its entrance.
39 "Roll the stone aside," Jesus told them. But Martha, the dead man's sister, protested, "Lord, he has been dead for four days. The smell will be terrible."
40 Jesus responded, "Didn't I tell you that you would see God's glory if you believe?"
41 So they rolled the stone aside. Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said, "Father, thank you for hearing me.
42 You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me."
43 Then Jesus shouted, "Lazarus, come out!"
44 And the dead man came out, his hands and feet bound in graveclothes, his face wrapped in a headcloth. Jesus told them, "Unwrap him and let him go!"
우리를 의롭다 하시기 위하여
로마서 4:25: 예수는 우리가 범죄한 것 때문에 내줌이 되고 또한 우리를 의롭다 하시기 위하여 살아나셨느니라
Who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.
호산나와 십자가
요한복음 12:12: 그 이튿날에는 명절에 온 큰 무리가 예수께서 예루살렘으로 오신다는 것을 듣고
The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
요한복음 12:13: 종려나무 가지를 가지고 맞으러 나가 외치되 호산나 찬송하리로다 주의 이름으로 오시는 이 곧 이스라엘의 왕이시여 하더라
took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out: "Hosanna! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!' The King of Israel!"
요한복음 12:14: 예수는 한 어린 나귀를 보고 타시니
Then Jesus, when He had found a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written:
요한복음 12:15: 이는 기록된 바 시온 딸아 두려워하지 말라 보라 너의 왕이 나귀 새끼를 타고 오신다 함과 같더라
"Fear not, daughter of Zion; Behold, your King is coming, Sitting on a donkey's colt."
언약궤의 행방은?
예레미야 3:16: 여호와의 말씀이니라 너희가 이 땅에서 번성하여 많아질 때에는 사람들이 여호와의 언약궤를 다시는 말하지 아니할 것이요 생각하지 아니할 것이요 기억하지 아니할 것이요 찾지 아니할 것이요 다시는 만들지 아니할 것이며
Then it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and increased in the land in those days," says the Lord, "that they will say no more, 'The ark of the covenant of the Lord.' It shall not come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, nor shall it be made anymore.
예레미야 3:17: 그 때에 예루살렘이 그들에게 여호와의 보좌라 일컬음이 되며 모든 백성이 그리로 모이리니 곧 여호와의 이름으로 말미암아 예루살렘에 모이고 다시는 그들의 악한 마음의 완악한 대로 그들이 행하지 아니할 것이며
At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the Lord, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts.
예레미야 3:18: 그 때에 유다 족속이 이스라엘 족속과 동행하여 북에서부터 나와서 내가 너희 조상들에게 기업으로 준 땅에 그들이 함께 이르리라
In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given as an inheritance to your fathers.
내 증인이 되리라!
사도행전 1:8: 오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
꿈 꾸는 자가 오는도다
창세기 37:18: 요셉이 그들에게 가까이 오기 전에 그들이 요셉을 멀리서 보고 죽이기를 꾀하여
Now when they saw him afar off, even before he came near them, they conspired against him to kill him.
창세기 37:19: 서로 이르되 꿈 꾸는 자가 오는도다
Then they said to one another, "Look, this dreamer is coming!
인내의 발효
로마서 5:1-8
1 그러므로 우리가 믿음으로 의롭다 하심을 받았으니 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님과 화평을 누리자
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 또한 그로 말미암아 우리가 믿음으로 서 있는 이 은혜에 들어감을 얻었으며 하나님의 영광을 바라고 즐거워하느니라
through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 다만 이뿐 아니라 우리가 환난 중에도 즐거워하나니 이는 환난은 인내를,
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
4 인내는 연단을, 연단은 소망을 이루는 줄 앎이로다
and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
5 소망이 우리를 부끄럽게 하지 아니함은 우리에게 주신 성령으로 말미암아 하나님의 사랑이 우리 마음에 부은 바 됨이니
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
6 우리가 아직 연약할 때에 기약대로 그리스도께서 경건하지 않은 자를 위하여 죽으셨도다
For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 의인을 위하여 죽는 자가 쉽지 않고 선인을 위하여 용감히 죽는 자가 혹 있거니와
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
8 우리가 아직 죄인 되었을 때에 그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 죽으심으로 하나님께서 우리에 대한 자기의 사랑을 확증하셨느니라
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
나는 곤고한 사람이로다
로마서 7:24: 오호라 나는 곤고한 사람이로다 이 사망의 몸에서 누가 나를 건져내랴
O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
하나님께 가까이 함이
시편 73:28: 하나님께 가까이 함이 내게 복이라 내가 주 여호와를 나의 피난처로 삼아 주의 모든 행적을 전파하리이다
But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, That I may declare all Your works.
건너는 신앙
여호수아 3:1-13
3:1 또 여호수아가 아침에 일찍이 일어나서 그와 모든 이스라엘 자손들과 더불어 싯딤에서 떠나 요단에 이르러 건너가기 전에 거기서 유숙하니라
3:2 사흘 후에 관리들이 진중으로 두루 다니며
3:3 백성에게 명령하여 이르되 너희는 레위 사람 제사장들이 너희 하나님 여호와의 언약궤 메는 것을 보거든 너희가 있는 곳을 떠나 그 뒤를 따르라
3:4 그러나 너희와 그 사이 거리가 이천 규빗쯤 되게 하고 그것에 가까이 하지는 말라 그리하면 너희가 행할 길을 알리니 너희가 이전에 이 길을 지나보지 못하였음이니라 하니라
3:5 여호수아가 또 백성에게 이르되 너희는 자신을 성결하게 하라 여호와께서 내일 너희 가운데에 기이한 일들을 행하시리라
3:6 여호수아가 또 제사장들에게 말하여 이르되 언약궤를 메고 백성에 앞서 건너라 하매 곧 언약궤를 메고 백성에 앞서 나아가니라
3:7 여호와께서 여호수아에게 이르시되 내가 오늘부터 시작하여 너를 온 이스라엘의 목전에서 크게 하여 내가 모세와 함께 있었던 것 같이 너와 함께 있는 것을 그들이 알게 하리라
3:8 너는 언약궤를 멘 제사장들에게 명령하여 이르기를 너희가 요단 물 가에 이르거든 요단에 들어서라 하라
3:9 여호수아가 이스라엘 자손에게 이르되 이리 와서 너희의 하나님 여호와의 말씀을 들으라 하고
3:10 또 말하되 살아 계신 하나님이 너희 가운데에 계시사 가나안 족속과 헷 족속과 히위 족속과 브리스 족속과 기르가스 족속과 아모리 족속과 여부스 족속을 너희 앞에서 반드시 쫓아내실 줄을 이것으로서 너희가 알리라
3:11 보라 온 땅의 주의 언약궤가 너희 앞에서 요단을 건너가나니
3:12 이제 이스라엘 지파 중에서 각 지파에 한 사람씩 열두 명을 택하라
3:13 온 땅의 주 여호와의 궤를 멘 제사장들의 발바닥이 요단 물을 밟고 멈추면 요단 물 곧 위에서부터 흘러내리던 물이 끊어지고 한 곳에 쌓여 서리라
3:1 Then Joshua rose early in the morning; and they set out from Acacia Grove and came to the Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there before they crossed over.
3:2 So it was, after three days, that the officers went through the camp;
3:3 and they commanded the people, saying, "When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it.
3:4 "Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before."
3:5 And Joshua said to the people, "Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you."
3:6 Then Joshua spoke to the priests, saying, "Take up the ark of the covenant and cross over before the people." So they took up the ark of the covenant and went before the people.
3:7 And the LORD said to Joshua, "This day I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.
3:8 "You shall command the priests who bear the ark of the covenant, saying, 'When you have come to the edge of the water of the Jordan, you shall stand in the Jordan.'"
3:9 So Joshua said to the children of Israel, "Come here, and hear the words of the LORD your God."
3:10 And Joshua said, "By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that He will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Hivites and the Perizzites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Jebusites:
3:11 "Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth is crossing over before you into the Jordan.
3:12 "Now therefore, take for yourselves twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one man from every tribe.
3:13 "And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off, the waters that come down from upstream, and they shall stand as a heap."
